Confession – I did not watch this movie. Nor do I have any intention to watch it. In fact, I highly recommend you to avoid it even if Netflix consistently pops it on your screen.
This post intends to list down few of the reasons why its abysmally bad movie.
- Portrayal of Airforce : I have an theory that Bollywood deliberately paints the Armed forces in bad light. Between Border (1997) and Uri : The Surgical Strike (2019) we did not have one good movie to lift the spirit up of our soldiers. In fact, a lot of effort went in to show Army in bad light.
- Rendering Biographies : Apart from few exceptions Bollywood has always missed the Masala and Tadka on Biographies. In this case Wing Commander Gunjan Saxena herself slammed the lies peddled by this movie.
- Acting : Janhvi can not act. Period.
- Research : I repeatedly called out this matter. Looks like this one is curse on Bollywood Industry ! Absolute disregard to ground work and research to get things correct (I have added a video who has authority to talk about it)
- Twisted sense of Feminism : Fundamental premise of this movie is to make men look bad even at the expense of truth !
- Nepo-movie : this project had sole intention to provide Janhvi a Critically Acclaimed piece in the same lines Sonam got Neeraja. Let me remind you that we have collectively decided not to support Undeserving Nepo-kids.
While here, please go through this post by a retired Air force Officer. You will get a full perspective on many things that are wrong with this movie.

Portrayal of Airforce: Why do u think prev movies show army in bad light?
Acting : Janhvi can not act. Period.—>> why dude? She seemed promising in the trailer for A Relatively new comer

There should be a limit for freedom of creativity in autobiography related movies, the film should showcase the originality rather than adding other attention-seeking ingredients. That’s why Bollywood is lagging behind in portraying the autobiography related movies from Hollywood. The essence of Gunjan Saxena lost in the act of nepo kid and poor script writing😔
