After the telemarketer finishes speaking ask what he/she is doing this weekend. Don’t worry about other side is he/she; just ask him/her out. And finally ask him/her to marry you

Tell the telemarketer you are busy at the moment, and ask him/her if he/she will give you his/her home phone number so you can call him/her back.

Ask them to repeat everything they say, several times. Mimicking you played with siblings when you were young pay off here.

Tell them it is dinner time, BUT ask if they would please hold. Put them on your speaker phone while you continue to eat at your leisure. Smack your food loudly and continue with your dinner conversation.

Tell them that all business goes through your agent, and hand the phone to your five year old child. Ask your child to sing nursery rhymes

Tell them you are hard of hearing and that they need to speak up…louder…louder…louder!

Tell them to speak very slowly because you want to write every word down.

If they start out with, “How are you today?” say “I’m so glad you asked, because no one these days seems to care, and I have all these problems…………”

Cry out in surprise, “Helen, is that you? I’ve been hoping you’d call! How is the family?” When they insist they are not Helen, tell them to stop joking. This works especially well if the telemarketer is really MALE.

Tell the HSBC call center guy to call on your office number. – And give him the ICICI call center number.

Many of them are scams asking you to send cash to get a lower rate on your credit cards, they don’t have any product. I want the phone to never ring in the first place. I bought a number blocker and now each time they call they use a new made up number so they are always one step ahead of me.

I use a call blocker called T-Lock (google it) and then use a website called badnumbers.com to check if the numbers are known bad ones to help me them to my list. My line is quiet.

I am receiving pesky calls/ telemarketing calls from from following:
1. ICICI Bank, ICICI Lombar, ICICI Prudential
2. Reliance Group
3. Bajaj Allianz
4. HDFC
5. Excel Insurance
6. ING Vysya
Normally what I do is:
I will just attend their call, tell the as of now I am in office and busy with work. At the same time, showing some interests on their products, and also expressing some concerns regarding the return. Asking some questions on tax benefits. Then I ask them to send an executive to my home on some saturdays and provided a wrong name and address. On saturday, normally they will make a call and I attend that call. Then they would visit the home. Once they reach the destination, they would totally clueless. They will make around 20-50 calls… I simply don’t attend their calls. Finally they will get fed up and lose their half-day or full-day.
