How to pass engineering… ask this guy

I recall some of my super seniors took seven to eight years to finish their engineering. During exams some of them used to come to me (also) for tuitions on several engineering theories.

Next year they just drop by and tell “No yaar, I don’t clear it this time. BTW… Are you there in college next year? I need the same tuition again”. They some time accumulate 10 to 15 un-cleared subjects in their hand. Here is one of such guys. He goes into records for clearing 29 subjects in one shot.

In our terms we call it “morning show – matinee show” Just observe the timings he has written the papers. Hats off Man.

This is to inform you that our alumni, ___ has appeared 29 engineering theory subjects’ examinations conducted by Karnatak University in our college; the detailed report of the examination schedule is mentioned below. Its his sincere effort to register his name into Limca book of record for passing 29 engineering theory subjects during the examinations held in Jan/Feb 2003,

I am taking a break from blogging. I wont be writing posts (except for del.icio.us and What I shared recently and reply for comments) till get back with some of the things i have lost – mood and time.

In one of the last posts, I mentioned illustrations of gods in carvings of beautiful mythological stories. That was about good people like Krishna, durge bad people like mahishasura etc. Now time to write about ugly ones. The gods still living on earth, and making money…

Some thousand years a mythology writer left a space for a sequel. there is going to be tenth avatar of Vishnu. He will come and remove all the evil in Kaliyug and the name’s Bond .. James Bond.

and finally he came … !!kalki bhagvan is an ex-insurance (LIC) agent in Perambur according to Google. Estimations say his assets are Rs400 to Rs600 Cr. He and his enlightened wife went through a morphogenesis field. Read more on kalki bhagvan , and read some warnings and about money lust too.

What is your favorite aroma?

I usually don’t miss first rains.  I the odor they bring from year old dust.( Only first rain, not the second rain – the second brings smell from drainage ) .

There are several other aromas I like, I remember only some of them now. This is the list. If you have your favorite aroma list leave it in comments.

• Dusty smell after the first rain.
• Coffee powder
• Teachers’ and Smirnoff aroma
• Petrol or diesel.
• Garlic , ginger, citric fruits
• Dipawali (Divali ) crackers ( specially after the festival )

ಪೂರ್ಣಚಂದ್ರ ತೇಜಸ್ವಿ ಎಂಬ ಕಥೆಗಾರ

ಪೂಚಂತೇಯವರ ಮೊದಲ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ನಾನು ಓದಿದ್ದು “ಕರ್ವಲೋ”. ಆಗ ನಾನಿನ್ನೂ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಹುಡುಗ, ಐದ್ನೇ ಕ್ಲಾಸಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೆ. ಹೈಸ್ಕೂಲಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಅಣ್ಣನಿಗೆ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಹುಮಾನವಾಗಿ ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ರು ( ತಟ್ಟೆ ಪ್ಲೇಟು ಬಹುಮಾನವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡೋ ಪದ್ದತಿ ಆ ಸ್ಕೂಲಿನಲ್ಲಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ). ನನಗೆ ಅದು ದೆವ್ವ ಭೂತಗಳ ಕಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒದೋ ಕಾಲ ( ಅರೇಬಿಯನ್ ನೈಟ್ಸ್, ವಿಕ್ತ್ರಮ ಬೆತಾಳನ ಕಥೆಗಳು ). “ಕರ್ವಲೊ” ಕೇಳೊಕೆ ಹೆಸರು ವಿಚಿತ್ರವಾಗಿತ್ತು , ಕೇಳಿದ್ರೆ ” ಕರ್ವಲೊ ಅಂತ ಒಬ್ಬ ವಿಜ್ನಾನಿ , ಅವರೂ ಮತ್ತೆ ಕೆಲವರೂ ಹಾರೋ ಉಡದ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗೊ ಕಥೆ”.

 

ಹಾಗೊ ಹೀಗೊ ಮುಗಿಸಿದೆ … ಹೀರೋ ಭೂತದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಫೈಟಿಂಗ್ ಮಾಡ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂತ ಸೊಲ್ಪ ಬೇಜರಾಯ್ತು. ಕ್ಲಾಸಿಕ್ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳೇನೆಂದರೆ ಐಡಿಯಾನೇ ಇರ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಶಾಲೆಯ ಗಣಿತ ಪುಸ್ತಕಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ದಪ್ಪದ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಓದಿಬಿಟ್ಟೆ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಅಶ್ಟೇ. ಅರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ “ಸುರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಧಿ” ಓದೋ ಕಾಲ ಅದು. ಕತ್ತೆಗೇನು ಗೊತ್ತು ಕಸ್ತೋರಿ ಗಂಧ. ಮುಂದಿನ ನಾಲ್ಕೈದು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳೆಂಟು ಸಲ ಓದಿ ಜಸ್ಟಿಸ್ ಕೊಟ್ಟೆ ಪುಸ್ತಕಕ್ಕೆ.

 

ಮುಂದಿನ ವರ್ಷ ಅಣ್ಣ “ಶಿವನಿಪಳ್ಳಿಯ ಕಪ್ಪು ಚಿರತೆ” ತಂದ, ಬಹುಮಾನವಾಗಿ. “ಕೆನ್ನೆತ್ ಆಂಡರ್ಸನ್” ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರ್ಯಪೂರ್ವ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಟೆಯಾಡಿದ ನರಭಕ್ಷಕ ಚಿರತೆ ಹುಲಿಗಳ ಕಥೆಗಳು. ನನ್ನ್ನ ಪೋಚಂತೇ ಅನುವಾದ. ಪುಟಪುಟವೂ ರೊಮಾಂಚಕವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆಂಡರ್ಸನ್ ಯಾರೋ ಕೇಳಿ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ , ತೇಜಸ್ವಿಯಂತೂ ಒಂದುವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಪರಿಚಯ. ಸೊ.. ಇನ್ನೂ “ಶಿವನಿಪಳ್ಲಿ..” ಬೇಟೆಯಾಟ ನೋಡಿದ್ರೆ ತೇಜಸ್ವಿ ಬೇಟೆಗಳೇ ನೆನಪಾಗುತ್ತೆ.

 

ಮಧ್ಯದಲೊಮ್ಮೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಹಳ್ಳಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಮಾಮನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಡಿ ಬೇಡಿ ಅವರ ಕಲೆಕ್ಶನ್ನಿಂದ ‘ಮಿಸ್ಸಿಂಗ್ ಲಿಂಕ್” ಓದಿದ್ದೆ. “ನಿಯಾಂಡರ್ತಲ್ , ಕ್ರೊ – ಮ್ಯಾಗ್ನನ್” ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದ್ರು ತೇಜಸ್ವಿ.

When this song released, Kurt Donald Cobain was lying (supposedly) high on streets (with normal dose of heroin). Cops gave him roof that night, while radio stations repeatedly playing this song “Smells like teen spirit” a new genre altogether. Within no time song was topping the charts, and teen found a new god.

 

Kurt Cobain defined “grunge rock” as a genre to the world, and this song (and another “come as you are” in the same album) became anthem for mass hysteria. He was 27 when he died, a suicide. But he is biggest teen icon even today (may be second biggest, after “che guevara”

Blank noise project

Blank noise project is one interesting thing happening around metros in India. It started in Bangalore (as I know) against all leaching, touching, pinching, stalking and “ನೊಡ್ಲಾ ಮಗಾ…@^#%@$! ” (FAQ). I did not see anyway to help these heroes, thought I ll give them some more publicity.

Basically it’s a message to women who have experienced this one or the other way.
